Ro-ro vessels are the most efficient way to load construction vehicles. Vehicles, either under their own power or towed by trailers, can be driven directly onto the spacious car deck via the ship's stern/side ramps. Following instructions, the driver precisely parks the vehicle at the designated berth and engages the parking brake. The crew then uses chains and straps to quickly and standardizedly secure the tires or tracks to the deck's securing points to prevent them from shifting during voyage.
